The Question Everyone Keeps Asking

November 24, 2025

Show me how it works.

It’s the question we heard on repeat throughout Web Summit Lisbon. Between the flood of founders, investors, and HR leaders stopping by our booth one theme kept rising to the surface:

People get why better managers matter. Now they want to see how we actually make it happen.

Halfway across the globe, it was also the question I was receiving as I sat in my own pitch meeting with an investor.  We were less than five minutes into the conversation and I’d barely worked up to my full pitch before he asked the question.  Okay, I get the problem.  Now, show me how it works.  So I walked him through exactly what our team had been showing people all week  in Lisbon.

Let’s start with the harsh reality: most managers have never been shown how to manage.  They get promoted for being great at their last job, not because anyone prepared them for the next one. Then we expect them to instantly lead teams, navigate conflict, motivate different personalities, and know what “good management” looks like without ever giving them a blueprint.  That’s the gap ManagerEQ fills.

So, here’s how it works.

Step 1: The ManagerEQ Assessment

Every manager begins with our diagnostic, grounded in our proprietary ManagerEQ™ framework.  It doesn’t just tally right or wrong answers; it analyzes patterns in self-perception, behavior choices, and direct-report feedback to show a manager where they shine and where they’re struggling.  For most people, that alone is revelation.
It’s the first time anyone’s ever helped them put language around the job they were thrust into.

Step 2: Meet BremAI, your just-in-time coach

After the assessment, managers enter their personalized dashboard. That’s where Brem, our AI-powered coaching companion meets them with a recommended pathway of gamified, real-life scenarios based on their results.

But managers also have the freedom to go straight to the source and say: Brem, I need to give feedback or Brem, my team is disengaged. Help.  And Brem responds with clarity, coaching prompts, and practical steps anchored in data we’ve trained it on about management best practices.

Sure, Brem can save time on performance reviews or help write a tough email, but the real power is deeper: the app strengthens emotional intelligence through repetition, practice, and coaching.  That’s the real power of building new habits.

Step 3: Practice that sticks

We all know workshops don’t change behavior, practice with good coaching does. That’s why our system focuses on micro-habits, short simulations, and real-time coaching, all delivered in the moments managers actually need support.  This isn’t a training, it’s a daily companion that shifts how managers operate.

That’s why the best way to understand ManagerEQ is to experience it.  Our 21-Day Manager Challenge starts in December.  This is your chance to be among the first to test our prototype.  If you want your managers to finish the year stronger than they started it, this is your moment.

It’s not just about the managers.  Let’s fix the entire system.

One other headline that emerged for us this past week was a reminder that this isn’t just about managers, it’s about changing an entire system of how we work.  Here’s the part we don’t talk about enough: Managers don’t exist on an island.  You can’t ask them to change in isolation while the system around them stays the same.

Every manager decision, every piece of feedback, every one-on-one, every moment of clarity or confusion, is shaped by the structure they sit inside. The policies, the culture, the expectations, the tools… all of it.  What ManagerEQ does is bigger than upskilling individuals. It strengthens the entire ecosystem around them.

Because when managers practice emotional intelligence consistently, teams shift. When teams shift, culture shifts. When culture shifts, the system becomes more humane and more sustainable.  That’s what we’re aiming for.

A workplace where managers aren’t just surviving but shaping systems that help everyone thrive.  If you want to see what that kind of transformation could look like in your organization, the 21-Day Challenge is the perfect place to start.
